Sponsored by the Bard Graduate Center through a grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities, Catena, the Digital Archive of Historic Gardens and Landscapes is a typologically organized archive of nearly 2000 digital images that is searchable through a variety of terms. This companion website, envisioned as an educational tool for teachers and scholars of landscape history, focuses on the villa as an important landscape type in garden history.
