The Peking University Open Research Data Platform is an institutional-scale repository, launched in 2015, to centralize and disseminate research datasets generated across PKU. It leverages the Dataverse framework to provide a bilingual, interoperable environment for data sharing, citation, and long-term preservation. Hosting stakeholder datasets from social sciences to engineering, the platform ensures data integrity through DOI assignment, metadata standards (e.g., DataCite, DDI, Dublin Core), and inclusion in global indexing services. While promoting open access, PKU Open Data maintains controlled contribution workflows to guarantee quality and compliance. With hundreds of datasets and thousands of files currently available, it plays a critical role in enhancing research transparency, reproducibility, and interdisciplinary collaboration at Peking University and beyond.
